Simple ANSWERS for the complexities of life....
EVERYONE wants to have more PEACE, HAPPINESS and PROSPERITY. But it seems to always elude us. Now I am talking about a deeper sense of those 3 things. Not the fleeting kind. The kind that whe...n the shit hits the fan you aren't sent into a tailspin of pain and emotions. That like a palm tree, you may bend all the way to the ground but will not break when the storms of life come. We may be living in a life where there is a constant, maddening drizzle and we just never seem to see the sunshine. BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THE SUN DOESN'T EXIST. YOU JUST CAN'T SEE IT YET! Or you are looking down and only seeing shadows. Either way it is how we SEE things that is the difference between: FEAR AND LOVE SUFFERING AND HEALING NEGATIVE AND THE POSITIVE SUCCESS AND FAILURE I believe that if you have the ability to shift perspective, you have the ability to do anything you want. To HEAL, CHANGE, BE IN CONTROL, and to MAKE A DIFFERNCE. SIMPLE ANSWERS to what seems a very complex life / mind. It just takes some courage... To order these Unorthodox Bas Ass Manuals ($4.95 ea.) that start and expound on my teachings, please go here: FOUNDATIONAL, SHORT, CANDID and CREATE RESULTS! http://theuba.weebly.com/ebooks.html Morality is subjective and a very dangerous space to come from.
The UBA's of the world, past and present seem to come from a space of objective observation. A place of "what works and what doesn't work". For example... ... Let's say that there a 3 people sitting around a table: Jesus, Buddha and Hitler. Then we ask Jesus and Buddha to give us an observation of Hitler. I choose to believe that they would respond this way: Jesus - "He knows not what he does." Buddha - "He is asleep." I believe they transcend morality and look at what works, individually and collectively. If it is our goal to be peaceful, loving, kind, understanding, compassionate then the actions of someone like Hitler would not work to obtain that goal. If our goal is to suffer, create pain, kill, be judgmental, separate ourselves from others then Hitler's actions would work. It is always PERSPECTIVE and how we see things. Where are we coming from and where are we going. The picture below illustrates that there is no right or wrong. Instead it illustrates COMPASSION, UNDERSTANDING, EQUALITY, and NONJUDGMENT. I believe that EVERYONE wants peace, but in many ways we are IGNORANT on how to obtain it. So we go looking outside of ourselves to find it. This rarely works. We say "MY WAY IS THE RIGHT AND ONLY WAY!" and that does not work either. FORCED INCLUSION IS ABSOLUTISM. Yet we seem to always adjust our morals to work for us. Adding footnotes to things like the 10 commandments. Saying something is a sin or wrong until that experience hits close to home and then rationalizing (rationing lies) our adjustments in our morals. "Thoroughly unprepared, we take the step into the afternoon of life. Worse still, we take this step with the false presupposition that our truths and our ideals will serve us as hitherto. But we cannot live the afternoon of life according to the program of life’s morning, for what was great in the morning will be little at evening and what in the morning was true, at evening will have become a lie.” - Carl Gustav Jung It will always serve us to have to have the attitude of AND / ALSO instead of EITHER / OR. It will also serve us to learn the difference between two words.
SUBJECTIVE and OBJECTIVE My life was impacted immensely when I finally understood the above. In studying UBA's, I have seen that compassion not judgment emerges because UBA's understand the spiritual significance of those words. ... An analogy that helped me greatly to understand subjective and objective is this: A bathtub is in the room, the water in the tub is 90 degrees. That is objective. That is reality You and I are both in the room with the tub. You just came in from a room that was 115 degrees. I just came from a room where it was 0 degrees. If you were to get in the tub the water would feel cold. If I was to get in it might be too hot to handle. That is subjective. Reality is different for each of us because of "WHERE WE CAME FROM or CONDITIONING". This is subjective. Up for personal interpretation. How do we look at life, problems, issues, etc? Objectively or Subjectively? Who is right, who is wrong? The HOT persons experience to the bathtub or the COLD persons? Consider that what might serve us more in finding the truths of our lives is not looking at life in the form of RIGHT OR WRONG (subjective) but in the form of WHAT WORKS AND WHAT DOESN'T WORK for you personally (objective). To force subjective truths onto someone else is deeply arrogant. To say that a person is wrong because they experience the water differently than another does not and will not work. |
